Windows XP or Windows 7 for Old C2D PC ?

Hi,
Which OS should I use for the following old PC ?

Intel E4500
Gigabyte G41 Combo
2GB DDR2 800MHz
No Video Card
80GB HDD

I'm gonna use this PC mainly for web browsing beside downloading(uTorrent or FDM).
Sometimes may watch YouTube,720p Anime or Movies/Videos.
Gonna use Bank Site so security could be issue.
I will install Avast Free.
So,XP SP3 or 7 SP1 ?
And 32bit or 64bit ?

For normal operations, there should not be much of a difference in performance between Windows XP and 7. XP will need lesser amount of disk space though (and possibly RAM too). If you install all the updates for XP, it will be equally secure. But I would still prefer Windows 7 in this scenario. Have been using Windows 7 with 2GB RAM and it works fine. With 2GB of RAM, better to go with 32-bit OS. If you have 4GB or more, prefer 64-bit OS.
 
Better go for Windows 8 than Windows 7. It uses far too less resources than Windows 7. The barebone OS uses around 400-600 MB ram only, after loading up browsers and other apps, it uses around 1.5 GB ram. Only thing difficult would be to get the drivers, but windows 7 drivers should work fine.
 
window 7 , 32 bit need 16 GB free hard disk space and 1 GB RAM. On the other hand Window 7 64 Bit need 20 GB free Hard disk space and Minimum 2 GB of RAM.
And this OS need more about 5 to 7 GB of hard disk space for installation. So if your c:\ have the require space you can go with it.
 
Go with Windows 7. A C2D processor can easily run it and it looks much better than XP. 2GB ram will also be enough for your usage pattern.

And I think I should not use Aero without any video card ?
BTW,can I get untouched ISO of Windows 7 SP1(including all latest updates) from MS site ?
Cos after Windows 7 install have to do at least 1GB update every time.
Is ISO from Torrent site reliable(untouched,clean and up to date) ?

revolution if you want to install win 8,google for download links...and do it fast......because the method i posted for activation is STILL working(a miracle) so do it quickly!!
 
Similar query related to wooden pc and OS confusion. My office PC:

Athlon64 2800+ (1.8Ghz Single core)
512MB DDR1 Ram
Nvidia 6600GT DDR3 128MB

Running windows XP, it gets very choppy when using multiple tabs in chrome. Or, multiple applications like MS Excel, Chrome, Word, etc.

Is there any alternate OS or OS version on which can improve the performance without the need for more RAM?
