Hi guys

wanna install windows xp sp3 in my hp pavillion laptop which comes with pre installed with windows vista home premium edition (32 bit).. i know there are several guides over the internet.. but can u suggest me a simple method...as i never done it before....

Shrink your partition from disk management, intall xp and use easy bcdedit software to get back vista bootloader and add xp to the vista bootloader

How will you be installing Windows XP? Do you have a slipstreamed CD or some copied files on a partition? If you actually have a bootable WinXP SP3 CD, then you don't have to worry much. Just boot with it...and when it asks you to setup the partitions, format the one having your Vista installation.

^ That's what I was going to link you too.

It's the best guide you will find.. If you're still kinda confused, ask someone to do it for you and make sure you see it so you can understand the procedure carefully. Also do take a backup of your data if possible!
