Windows xp sp3 queries

Hi,can anyone tell me if xp sp3 is worth it..Also,do systems having AMD processors face problems after installin sp3..?

Why dont u try the TRICK mentioned by other member in your gta4 thread.. Will help u play GTA4 with SP2 and you're free from hassles..

But still, there is a point in installing SP3 as most of the newer games need SP3 to play, so installing it would be a wise choice. Google and find the way to fix the issue of AMD with Sp3...

SP3 is a waste of time and effort. No tangible benefits since the updates that are a part of SP3 are available separately anyway. Stick with SP2 if you aren't facing any problems.

Although i never noticed any performance improvements, SP3 is pretty much recommended.

^^^Agree. Always better to keep your OS updated. A service pack is not just for some extra features/ performance. It's also about newer security enhancements and bug resolutions.
