CPU/Mobo Winfast NF4XK8MC - Opteron 165 - running single core?!

Hey guys..

I have a dual core, but it seems to be running only one core..

mobo - Winfast NF4XK8MC

cpu - amd opteron 165 @ 1.8ghz (stock)

ram - transcend 2x1gb

gpu 7800gt





I've updated the cpu drivers from the amd website..still says unknown cpu..

Plz help me sort this out..

Check in the BIOS, maybe its disabled in BIOS.

there is no such setting in the BIOS..

Did you re-install windows after getting the dual-core?

Also in the same Device Manager window - under 'Computer' check if the "ACPI MultiProcessor PC" HAL is installed.

i did once.. (format after dual)
