Winrar + Win 7 64bit 7100 RC = Corrupt CRC isuses popping up!

Hey guys,

Been noticing off-lately, when I unrar files on my computer which has a Win 7 ultimate 64bit 7100RC, it mostly ends up with errors indicating corrupt files or CRC errors.

I tried unrar'ing it on my friend's PC (which has an outdated hardware but the same OS!) and I was astonished to see it unrar'ed fine without a hiccup in between!

I tried downloading the 64bit Winrar from the official site and this gives me the same error.

Any workarounds for this issue?

If OCed PC, thoroughly check memory using MemTest 86+.Had this problem which was due to too strong AITwister setting in my BIOS.

Try using 7zip and unrar it

Check whether you are getting same error or not

I checked my Memory for any corruption, proccy temps and other things. Incidentally, things were fine on XP on same Laptop.

Finally, I read somewhere that older Dell BIOS are not good for Windows 7 so I updated the BIOS and my issues were resolved. Try updating your BIOS.

I dont OC my PC so long as I dont do any gaming but anyways shall run a Memtest and find out. Besides there aint going to be a better BIOS for me than the one I've since abit's stopped manufacturing motherboards and the support henceforth.
