This is in accordance with my earlier post regarding my MTNL wireless and wired modems that i have.

I am facing this issue wherein the speed setting (downstream/upstream) in the modem is different for both of them. How is this possible ?

Check the below screenshots

Ignore the attainable data rate in wireless modem image as i get max 256 (less actually) speed with i connect wifi modem and when my old wired i get upto 700 kbps

The worst part is that i am subscribed to 1 Mbps speed so neither way i am getting 1 Mbps :@

is this a problem with the firmware?,just ask the mtnl cc guys, for the ftp servrer in which they store thier updated firmwares, download'em,and try to flash those modems.

P.S

Just a suggestion, wait for other members answers

The MTNL guy took the wired modem back and kept the wireless one. The issue has been solved as of now as i got it rectified after calling the MTNL complaint number.
