Wireless access

Hi,
I have a wired broad band connection (from MTNL) which I want to convert to wireless.So, can I put a wireless router at the phone line and convert that to a wireless.

I want to access the net from some other phone where the Phone cable is not available.

I think as far as i now of MTNL and BSNL, you can go in for wireless internet by purchasing a wireless modem and configuring it on to there network but you definitely need a phone line there.

Make the necessary arrangements for an extra PHONE line jack and i think you are all set to go .

Is there a specific router available that I can purchase for MTNL or any of the routers can be attached to the line?
