I have been using Netgear WG111T for close to 6 months now. No issues. ITs usb wifo 802.11g adapter and its working great. I dont use it with my laptop but with 2 of my pcs. Range is good. IT picks up signals at other end of my house as well. ( And mind you my home is not small :p )

I dont know if there are any new USB adapters available. But this one is tried and tested. :)

Im with the same Netgear WG111 too. Bought it for Rs1150. Quite happy with it though speeds seem to top out at about 18Mbps during file transfers. Range is excellent. Funky, Is it possible to run some SoftAP on this adapter?

This Usb Adapter Seems 2 Work Well With Desktops. But I've Heard That It Doesn't Go Well With Laptops, THE Connection Breaks Freq. On The Motion Of Laptops. Also The Cpu Usage Gets Much Higher. Kindly Explain.

arre, get a pcmcia one...no wires dangling out of the system..else why do you want to put a wireless card in the 1st place?

The USB wifi adapter looks like a pen drive. So no wires, but it just sticks out a little. You can always remove it and keep it in the laptop bag when you are not using it. And you can transfer it to another computer too.

Remember that ad that said something like "What sticks out gets cut!"?? What company was it?
