My friends wants to buy 2 wireless adapters, one for his laptop n one for his desktop pc.

Please suggest 2 good adapters n the appox cost.
 
Netgear b/g PCMCIA (Laptop) adapters come for ~1400/-
Desktop, it'd be advisable to buy a USB adapter which however are mre expensive than PCMCIA ones.....I have a Compex USB adapter which was around 2000/- 6months ago....The prices should have come down thopugh

Also, why doesn't he buy a wireless router and a PCMCIA card instead.....More robust (and cheaper too ) than an ad-hoc connection using two wireless adapters
