Wireless Home Theatre?

A friend is looking for a wireless home theatre system. Are there any such available? Models and prices would be helpful.
 
going wire less introduces noise in the system
and a home theater has many parts scattered around the room ,
it would be better to hier a good carpenter to hide the wires ...its cheeper and better :)

What is your budget BTW? creative gigaworks come with wireless rear speakers
 
@techie_007: Depends a lot on the budget! Everything wireless is available including HD video streaming (over WiDi) HD audio streaming (over Wireless N / RF etc)

Then what options are available to me in India? Would prefer something locally for warranty and all.

Saw some LG/Sony systems on their website that use wireless to talk between front and rear speaker sets, so not completely wireless. How are those?
 
Boss, if you dont mind searching for reviews by yourself, Prime offers a bunch of Media Players. Take your pick.

Anandtech has covered Seagate, every version of WD Live, ASUS and Asrock.
 
Buying wireless home theatre is asking for trouble while paying much more money! Get wired man!
 
@rahuljawale: I am talking wireless home theatre - speaker systems, NOT media players :)

@Rockfella: Large room, probably rented house - Friend doesnt want to do wired - too messy he feels - Hence wired - of course if quality is acceptable.
 
Check Hifi vision, there were speakers that fit into the bulb socket in the ceiling, they are wireless. I Dont remember the name, but wud post the link later after searching. Bu yes they budget was above 50k if i remember.

Yup, SNAP Networks. Their office is actually very close to mine in Bangalore :) Am contacting them as well, but I dont believe they have any production units for sale yet. Lets see if they will part with a prototype for some cash :D
