Hi dear friends ,

I was looking for a wireless keyboard but I already have a wireless mouse .

Would the mouse interrupt with the keyboard and vice versa ? .

Another requirement was a keyboard with backlit but I dont think wireless it is possible! .

Batteries would drain out fast plus I found the backlit keyboards too expensive 3k+ .

Also what brand to go for ? .

So either recommend me a wireless keyboard which wont interefere with my mouse or a nice keyboard with backlit - i dont think it will fall in my budget .

My budget is Rs 1200 +300 max .

Also one other angle is whether using wireless devices cause any harm to health ? .

I have always avoided using wireless devices for the very reason , cancer and other ill effects .

Although its a disputed fact .

Thanks ,

cheerio

edit : please dont suggest small keyboards , I like bigger and comfortable silent keys .

Also soft touch is desired

anyone ?

So many gamers and PC users here and still no one really has any idea ?

Come on friends requesting only a couple of mins for a reply !!

You can't go wrong with entry level KB's from Logitech and MS. Will easily fit your budget. There's a logitech combo available for 1k or thereabouts with positive user reviews.

Gamers tend to stay away from wireless devices due to the settled perception of input lag.

There wont be interference with your existing wireless rodent, however, an additional USB port will be blocked for the new receiver which will co-exist with the old one. Best best would be to buy the logitech combo and sell your existing mouse (if it aint anything special).

We are anyways exposed to much hazardous materials everyday to worry too much about being subjected to these radio/IR/BT signals.

For keyboards and mouse, i cannot recommend anything other than Logitech.. They are the worlds best keyboard and mouse makers... theres no prob. with a wireless keyboard, but if you are looking forward to gaming or other works such as graphic designing, animation .. etc. .you get the idea.. i would not suggest a wireless mouse.. although the 2.4ghz wireless mouse from logitech are quite responsive and have excellent range, (will work from another room too, 2.4ghz is the same frequency used in Racdio controlled airplanes and other expensive RC Toys which are required to have long range wireless control).. but still i think i find the logitech wired mice better..

if you want the perfect blend between reasonable money and gaming accuracy, go for the Logitech MX518 mouse.. which i think has been discontinued in this name.. its now available as G400 i guess. its an excellent comfortable mouse, slides very silently on a Rs. 30 mousepad. (it has special material for its feet not found in other general mouse.) It even works quite smoothly on any printer A4 paper..

even for the keyboard, buy anything costing anywhere between Rs. 400 to Rs. 200 0 from logitech and you definitely wont be dissapointed. .

I personally have been using the MX518 mouse, and i have loved it..

and trust me and my comment... coz this is over 15 yrs of experience and observation speaking...

if you just want me to suggest you directly what to buy, gimme a budget. i will give you the best possible option that you can get your hands on...

heheh. . see.. if you want quick replies, when you create a new topic, there an area just below the title of the topic area which says tags.. give as many related tags you can give so that if anyone searches using a similar string as in your tag, your topic will come up in search results.. .for eg.. for this topic you could have given.. keyboard, budget keyboard, wireless, wireless keyboard.. etc..

i started a topic on the new KTM Duke 200 just this afternoon, and within a few minutes had my first response..

and topics like yours are quite popular.. everyone scourging the net all the time for good keyboards, mouse, speakers.. blah blah blah..

also one last thing, the new logitech wireless devices ./ most of them come with a unifying receiver. .that means you need to plug in one usb receiver, which is as small as a thumb and you can keep it plugged in all the time and forget about, and connect your wireless keyboard and mouse to the same receiver.. and upto 6 logitech devices. to the main receiver. ..

and..one last thing again.. if the backlit keyboard isnt in your budget.. buy a cheap rs. 100 LED light .. wont look as stylish. but will solve your purpose of working in the dark without disturbing anyone else in your room.. coz theres just enough light and flexible neck to point it in any direction.. .

Am not looking for a gaming mouse , I just want a good keyboard

.

I type a lot and a lot of wiring , printer wires ,power cords etc make a mess . Otherwise am no real fan of a wireless keyboard .

So was just looking for a comfortable and effective wireless keyboard . I generally buy from flipkart and they only have combos which I dont wanna buy because I do have a decent wireless mouse that does the job for me . Letsbuy is other side I can think of but have never bought from them hence hesitating a bit .

And about the reply , This kind of lukewarm attitude to any topic encourages me to do the same , be a silent spectator to threads , anyways dont wanna get more into it .

LED lights wont be directed , they would spread out !! .
