Requirement :

Compatible with Windows 8 64 bit
Compatible with Asus RT N13u B1

Budget : 1k (will increase if required)


1) What is the difference between 150mbps and 300mbps adapter...range or file transfer speed?
 
The range is more or less the same for both but transfer speed is higher in 300 Mbps band.Since your router is a 300 Mbps one get the 300Mbps USB adapter but keep in mind HD streaming wont work that well as the USB 2.0 port will be a bottleneck.
