With/Without Bill

What's the difference between getting a phone with or without bill ? since the warranty is totally based on the IMEI(As in nokia), what are the advantages of getting a with bill phone ?
 
Well i beleive u have never been to a Nokia service centre..
When you go in to get your phone repaired or serviced,within the warranty period, they take ur phone bill and keep a photocopy of it when they take the phone in...
Of course thats during the warranty period, once the warranty period expires, you have to pay for the service so they dont give a damn abt it...
 
here in blr, they dont ask fr bill.... They just take ur phone for "inspection" and somehow they know all the details whether the phone is wid bill or not, and also abt the warranty period...most probably frm the imei no.

also I dont think it matters whether u have a bill or not ... if ur nokia phone is imported by "Nokia India" (if the box says so)then u are fixed fr 1 yr warranty...
 
^thats correct..the check the imei from their database...if it is not registered...u will have to pay for the service....

ot : My frnd refused to go Nokia centre to fix his N70 cause he had taken it from a grey market with no bill...cause he says they'll seize it...:lol:...
is it true??...the stolen ones will the seized na...smone plz confirm...:huh:
 
Often these phones have fake IMEI's cos they are operator subsidized phones which are unlocked and sold. In the case of a phone with a bill the dealer will never try any such crap.

the ones WITH bill are imported properly and ull see an indian price on the box
ull see a MADE BY NOKIA on the phone

the ones WITHOUT bill are smuggled from finlan/vhina/dubai etc etc etc
and come with MADE IN FINLAND etc etc on the phone and are not sealed packs

anybody can jus look @ fone n tell if its grey or OG,usually bill not reqs

also the major drawback was if u buy a grey fone ur stuck with buggy firmware unless u wanna pay ur way thru but now that web update is there unless ur wreckless n careless with ur fone u can buy grey pieces :)

also my frnds who have bought a communicator without bill........and within 2 week it went crap...went to dealer....and he says..frm past 3 months...we havent sold a single peice of communicator.......now that idiot have already invested more in repairing the crap..than the price at he bought it.......
