WMP for N6630??

How can I play wma/wmv files on my nokia 6630??

I donno if the 6630 is symbian os powered.
But if it is then forget playing windows media on it.

As there is no wm player for symbian powered phone.
I tried to search a wm player for my symbian s60 powered n3650 no luck.

Wm player is only available on windows powered handled gadgets

OK but can real player (yes 8830 uses symb 8.0 i believe) be configured with a patch for wmv???

Try WMAplus! for playing WMA files on s60 symbian phones(incl. yours).

PS:U can't "patch" real player for that functionality.

I really didnt knew abt this cool peice of software called wmaplus.

I did not try playing WMA files (me hav a 6600) but heard it works.IMO it can also play OGG ( not sure abt MP3).

There is a s/w called wmaogg by emroozi which is sort of a codec and it lets u hav OGG,WMA files as ringtones.(IMO this works only on MMF phones i.e. those later to including 6600).

you can play wma but not wmv. windows media is a shit proprietary MS software which is hard to play on any other OS. thankfully there are much better alternatives for codecs. WMA isn't too shabby but WMV is easily outdone by many codecs.
