I was trying to work WOL(wake on Lan) last night, but wasnt successful.

Does anybody know how to WOL over the internet?

I am trying to turn on a pc from outside of my network.

I have Linksys wired router.

I assume that u have already enabled WOL Feature in your BIOS. If not Enable it .

Now, Forward the UDP port # 9 on your Linksys Router To Destination IP(PC IP).

Now u need to remember your External IP ( WAN IP ) or u can use Hostname Services like DynDNs or No -IP.

You also need to remember your PC's MAC Address.

To get the MAC Address of your PC .

Type ipconfig /all command in your command prompt. and you will see something like this 00-0A-6E-2V-5A-01. Just Note the MAC Address and you are done.

Now you can Wake your PC Remotely. You can use any free sites below to wake your PC remotely.

remotewakeup.com - Start your computer over the internet

Depicus

and this software works great .

FUSION :: WOL (WakeUp on LAN)

Thanx

I enabled WOL option in the Bios

I foward UDP 9 and also tried with both 9

I tried the Depicus online WOL and their software...

I cant get it to work.

I also enabled DMZ to test, but failed

I have (Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC)

Help... please:)
