Second this. Shouldn`t you be asking these questions, before buying the item?

To the OP,

Before buying the iPhone 4, ensure that it has NOT BEEN UPDATED to iOS 5 by the seller, since in most cases the seller may have not preserved the baseband and if that is the case, then there is no unlock available (from what i know) for that baseband.

I too am looking at buying an iPhone 4 from ebay.com and closely checking all auctions ending soon (not bidding, just checking) to check the average price of what the phones are selling at so i know i am paying right price.
