India will soon be home to the world's tallest building, World Centre of Vedic Learning which is 700 feet taller than Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur as depicted in the picture above. It will also have many times larger mass than any existing tall buildings. The site of the building is at the centre point of India, Northeast of Jabalpur.​
 
isnt the burj tower going to be the tallest building in the world?? (when its competed construction)

and if i`m not wrong this buiding design was thought by hafeez contractor.. came in the papers a few years ago.. ....

and it was said that the electricity usage would be huge.. not until india could get surplus electricity would a building like this be ever built... or else it would just be in darkness all night long.. :bleh:
 
This has been talked about for years now. They never seem to want to actually build it.

And to answer CK Nish, it is (supposedly) being built by Mahesh Yogi.
 
Infact the shape makes perfect sense. It was chosen perhaps coz it would never crumble under its own weight. The gumbads of the mausoleums hold together on the same science. The shape of that tower would itself lend support to its walls. Coz there is only one way a wall can collapse if it is tilted and that side is supported by other sides.

You wont be able to break the egg if you hold it between your fingers from its longer sides and compress.
 
wht i know...if its ever build.......if terrorist attack happens.......sena line thinking........vedic..hindus...planes muslims...got another chance........get the communal staff ready........
 
ya if you guys had seen on discovery... one of the episodes showed that in tokyo the japanese want to construct a building similar to this one in design..... but on a bigger scale... so big. that it would be like a city in itself.... with every modern facitlity that man could think of... it would be constructed out in the sea cause there is absolutely no place in tokyo to build something like this..
btw this kinda design is actually a very good design.. one of the reasons why the pyramid stood the test of time for soo long.... and still going strong..
 
no no....it will be started....schdeuled to be completed in say, 2015.... then in 2015, India Today/The Week will publish a SPECIAL report saying how the project has overshot it's original budget.....
 
hehehe yeah ..lol according to me this is some architechture students project :bleh: and besides this is india...this will be built in the next century ... my dad is a civil engg and i asked bout this he said they DID actually plan somethin like this :S ... but only god knows whether it wil actually be contructed in the first place...

Taipei 101 was opened to the public on December 31, 2004 and is 508 meters (1667 feet) tall not 1 Km tall :p
