Worth replacing drum spider on old LG washing machine?

My 8 year old LG washing machine has become noisy, which was diagnosed as a worn drum spider.
Is it worth replacing the drum spider, or is it time to look at a new machine?

I think it's worth it. Old machines are built better. Spyder is cheaper than a new machine. If you see rust on body then go for new one if you can't get the body replaced. Only difference between old and new is AI and app connectivity. Depends if you want something like that connected to your network and sending data to LG servers. Plus nobody knows how long they'll keep the app or their servers online. Once they start losing money, they'll shut it.

8 Years is a long time and you don't know if other components are in good health as well, I would say go for a new one with peace of mind for next 8 years (hopefully)

Does it have an inverter motor? Replace spider and bearings while you are at it. It should last another 5 years.

If it's not an inverter, replace the machine in oncoming sale. Non-inverter machines have complicated parts like gears and clutches that can fail with the motor. Same advice if the water is hard.

There's nothing useful on the new machines.

We have a very old LG machine, probably 10 years or more dunno.
It started getting issues. After 1 or 2 fixes that did not hold, eventually service guy replaced the whole drum, its running great since.
I would prefer to keep it running as long as possible.

Service guy himself recommended to do this as older machines are more reliable.
Complications are added to solved problems and things are made less reliable. This generally seems to be the case everywhere as companies chase 'growth'.
