My friend is a DTP operator. He deals with 1-1.5GB coral draw files.
He has following configuration
I7-3770k 3.5Ghz
Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H
Corsair ddr3 XMS3 8gb*4 = 32gb
Corsair cx600 PSU
2* 500gb HDD
Zotac GTX 650 2GB
Windows 7 64bit

Would SSD benefit here to work with large coral draw files?

Does he have to wait for a very long time to load the files in the software ? Is he concerned with very long boot times (including startup of various services) ?

Same usage with large corel draw files.
Installed a OCZ Vetex 4 SSD and saw exceptional boost in file opening times.

Have you also installed Windows in SSD or corel installation or just large corel files??

I have installed windows, coreldraw on the ssd.
On top of that I keep the most used files on the ssd.
The difference in file opening speed was cut down from 5mins to 5 sec..
Now I am installing ssds in all the computers in my office...

Assuming Useful Information :
Win7-64bit with limited application requires 128gb HDD space.
For Coral Draw, If you motherboard supports SATA III, suggested 60GB x 2 SSD's In RAID0 will fly. Because Application creates lot of Temp File [Undo's]

Except for boot times, for everything else a ramdisk is much faster, and cheaper (as the PC has 32 GB RAM so free) than an SSD. Especially if used mainly for a single application (Corel).
