Just got this email from greenpeace.

i wonder where to plant my tree in my apartment?

and if i use the balcony for a tree .... i am sure the people downstairs wont be amused .... so i do the next best thing ... i water the trees sacrificing my "specially fertilizer enriched water " for the greater environment good
 
kippu singh .. u can always dig up a nice lil corner in ur room and get some greenry INSTALLED there.. nahi ?? :bleh:

find a nice place in ur neighbourhood yaar.. watering an already grown up tree and planting a sapling are two totally diff thing ..
 
If u really want to do smthing for the environment... then try switching of the fans n lights when not in use. Planting and maintaining a tree is a very long term effect and one single tree in a concrete jungle will have the most negligible effect. what is actually require is conservation of resources.

DONT WASTE.

If u really care about the envt, just dont waste water, electricity, petrol or paper. try to use less plastic. If u plant a tree and then forget bout the envt thinkin that u have done ur bit, then its no use, is it?

think about it.... If u really want to make a diff then it has to be a sustained effort. we should try small things daily. eg switching of the fans and lights when not in use. using public transport whenever possible, etc.

you can turn off the lights and fans in the hall outside your room also :P
 
Nd stop using ur computer too :P

Btw... planting trees won't do... Try using bicycles whenever possible... If ur ego gets hurt while driving cheap bicycles... there are always Mercedes bicycles for u :bleh:
 
Easiest thing anyone can do to do is cut down on usage of plastics - there's too much of it everywhere!!
 
i do the following every day ....

not taking bath and go out "water plants " ..... this saves precious water

carry a bag ..... cuts down plastic
 
Pretty risky taking a generic approach like that... 9 out of 10 guys will regret it for sure :rofl:
 
according to the bible ..a neighbour is not only the person who lives next to you but it applies to any person ....so hey .... make merry :P
