WoW account problem

I played WoW(US) from 2007 start till 2008 end. Canceled before WoTLK released.

I thought of reactivating and trying out the improvements in the game.

Problem is , the forgot password option does not recognize my account number+email id combo.

I mailed Blizzard support, but they asked me to call their billing section up to validate my account.

Should i call their 1-800 number from here? Will it work as I am in India and the number is only for NA users. Any other easy way of doing this?

Not very keen on buying all the CDs all over again and starting from scratch :(

Hmm nobody has ever spoken to Billing,etc using their tollfree number?
 
Did you merged your account with battle.net?

If you already merged your account then it will be very easy for retrieving your account back.

it's a huge pain to contact billing from India since wait times are upwards of 20-30 minutes. Send an email to billing and see if there is any other way to verify your account.

Also, if you don't have a bunch of 80s or don't care to much about your old account you can get a new one. You do not have to buy the cd's, since you can always buy the game online - either buy the game directly from bnet or get keys from a site like offgamer then download the game from bnet.
