WoW Game Cards?

Hi gang,
Does anyone know if WoW game cards are available in Bangalore.
The account creation process is a major pain as they wont accept CCs not originating in the US.

Why don't you check ebay.com ? Just buy it off them, and have them either email the code/key to you, or ship the card to you, you should receive it within a week.

There was a site that used to email th codes within 2 hours of purchase, but charged a 150% of the original cost of the card. However, I've forgotten the URL, so your best bet would be ebay.com !
 
Have some queries .

ebay.com stocks the cards, but not ebay.in
Even if i register an ebay account using a US address, can i pay for it through an india issued credit card?

I tried registering on paypal, but the bank keeps refusing the credit card acceptance. Since accepted denomination is USD, the cc company rejects it.
If only blizzard started an Indian region server :@
 
Many people play WoW in India with gamecards bought from Singapore. Just find such a person and pay them in bulk for 6 cards each year.

Spin you are in Pune right, I think Wile gets these cards on a regular basis.
 
I had no issue registering on PAYPAL, you need it to transact with these ebay guys, cause it's quite hard and/or expensive to send out Money Orders, Wire Transfers etc.

As for registering on eBay, shouldn't be an issue.

well i used my credit card yesterday to create a trial account and it worked. haven't played the game yet (lousy 1gb updates to my retail version :@ ) but the account creation went through smoothly.

not sure where the OP got the idea that we can't use non-us credit cards :huh:
 
wile pays with his credit card. and you don't need to have a credit card anymore to sign up for an account... atleast it didnt ask me when i signed up for my trial account in december.. after that i just bought the game and used the key from there... now TBC is downloadable as well.

of course, whoever wants to play please join illidan :P it's the server where all the kick ass pvpers hang out.
 
Yup, any international cc works now. Previously it didnt, unless it was issued in the US.

I signed up for a trial account y'day and upgraded it immediately. Since i already have the game d/led(played on private servers for a couple of months), i logged on and am in the process of updating all the patches (1.12.1 - 2.0.0 is 492 mb, 2.0.0 - 2.0.3 is 192 mb :@ ).

Now all i have to do is pray that i get decent latency on my BSNL 256K unlimited connection :ohyeah:
 
i'm on Aman'Thul, relatively low pop server.

won't last long though... i dont want to pay for wow until i finish guild wars. that, and i dont have the time to play 2 mmo games.
 
reroll on Illidan. playing on a high pop active server is completely different from the experience on a low pop one where it's so hard to find a group at times and you end up getting bored. also, once you progress a few levels, i'm pretty certain you'll be like Guild What? i thought GW was very nice when i played it too but WoW blows it out of the water.
 
i actually don't have the time to invest in wow. thats why i figure that i should only get a subscription when i am done with GW. its not that i think GW is better than wow, but since i have already paid for GW, might as well finish it. i've already paid for wow as well, come to think of it, but i can hold out for another month or so before i start.

illidan is a pvp server right? the latency from india to us servers is about 400-500 for me. not much point in pvp'ing is there?
 
nah you can pvp fine with that ping. there is some delay but its definitely not like how it is playing an fps at that ping. there are so many people who play from places like india and malaysia at those pings and do well.
 
I play on Deathwing. In a guild with few other Indians, whom i discovered through orkut :p

We could use more people, "Support Classes plz :hap2: " . We are trying to run 10 man raids to begin with and move to 25. Should take a few months though heh.

We are full on dps classes, hence i made a priest, currently lvl 18.

Latency, i get 600ish on BSNL, friend says he gets slightly lower on tata Indicom.

Official > private servers any day.

Sure exp is slower, but less bugs and no disconnects :clap:
 
hmm how many indians are there? im actually thinking of moving to a server with an establish indian guild since i might be coming back home soon and i'd want to raid at indian times. however, i'll only play a mage :P only class i find actually challenging now that rogues got cloak of super skillzzz and can kill most clothies in their sleep. by 10 man raids i assume you guys mean kara? i hope it's not UBRS lol.

that's my armory profile... spindoctor and i created chars on frostmourne where wile and a few other indians play but again, we're dps horde side.

We are 5-6 guys who are from india AFAIK. We are aiming to have raids indian standard time. Will take some time though, as we are spread out over lvls. We have plenty of mages and warlocks lol, already lvl 70. Either reply to the msg in orkut, or contact Blademasta/Uglylass on Deathwing, if you are interested. Those guys could prolly let u know what we need. We need more indians, bad, who knows, you could play a mage as you wish :)
