A friend of mine wants to buy a PC for gaming+listening to music

He wants the best he can get for his money!!!:ohyeah:

wants a 500gb HD
19'W LCD
a good 2.1 + headphones below 2000bucks(if the budgte permits i.e)
rest all ur free to change
 
you cant get a good 2.1 in 2k ( well the inspire 2.1 is just about OK) seriously recommend an ATP3 :D

the cpu/gfx gurus will be along shortly

my humble request to them - leave 2.7k for the guy to get an ATP3 :ashamed:

But greenie, the ATP3 is no more in production.. Phased out I believe..

But try a 2nd hand from here..

Well fer the rest here's wat I quote:

1. E8200- Around 8k.

2. IP35 E- 5.4k.

3. 2 GB RAM- Get a Transcend Jet RAM- Around 2.1k.

4. 500GB HDD- Seagate/ WD/ Hitachi- 5.2k to 5.5k.

5. Speakers- 2.7k reserved as per greenie's request.. :P

6. Monitor- Dell E198WFP- 11k shipped.

7. Cabinet- Something from Zebronics or the likes.- 2k maxx..

8. PSU- Corsair VX450- Close to 3.8k/ Max less than 4k.

All comes to a net 40700...

Prices are indicative btw..

Get a Biostar TP35 D2 A7 in lieu of the Abit IP35 E.. Cheaper but a good performer.. :)

the DVDRW- is it /do you want it IDE or SATA ? - preferably sata , unless your mobo doesnt have enough ports

there is a samsung model- 203 i think which is quite good for the price- should cost about 1.2k

me being a liteon fan buys only liteon :ashamed: ( bought the Sony AD7190S which is a 20A3S :D )

the speakers , he means the VS4121 right ? do check!

if its for gaming, get the VX series. i believe they have some sort of response time compensation which helps in games :)

Hard Disk :

SMPS :

500W eXtremePower CoolerMaster Rs.2400-/-(Prime) 3yrs Warranty

Keyboard+Mouse :

Logitech G1 Gaming Set Rs.1200-/-(Prime)

2.1 Speaker System :

Altec Lansing VS2421 Rs.2200-/-

I'm left with Rs.21000 for LCD,Cabinet, Motherboard and CPU.... Please Help ME?

9.5k for a 19inch widescreen lcd (not much knowledge in this dept. :) )

cabby zebronics bijli for around 1.1k without psu

4.8k for a biostar tp35d2-a7 or 5.5k for an abit ip-35E mobo

rest on the cpu(the best one you can get)

also, if you are overclocking, better spend some of the money on a new heatsink fan for the proccy
 
aman.pitbull: ATP 3 is the best bet in that budget. DO NOT go for anything else. I'm sure finding a pair wouldn't be much of a problem. Itwares houses them as well.

Dude, ditch the Asus Lightscribe n get a Samsung Sh203D.. Cheaper n better.
Besides who'd want to use a Litescribe thingie..

Ditch tat speakers and get wat greenie suggested..

For less than 10k, u'll get a Viewsonic 19incher.. 1930WM/1932WM.. But this 1932WM model has some problems reported by TE users themselves..

Get a Biostar TP35D2A7 mobo + E6750 (Get it from Funky in the market section if possible.. Cos only then can u save up for the cabinet!!)

Get a Bijli from Zebronics.. Decent cabinet..

I couldn't find ATP3 anywhere except Prime for Rs.3300

also Whats the price of VS4121?

Prime was offering Corsair XMS2 for Rs.4000-/- and after I told Phoenix's rate they came down to Rs.2800-/-??

btw lammy was open yesterday. (its 12:00 o'clock so day is changed)
nice price on the mobo. and same power supply i got for 2550 yesterday from prime.
