Im looking for a low cost WiFi Router for my home so that I can share my internet between my PC and Lappy. I am open to both a new or a used one.

Please make your offers :)

How much are you willing to spend? You can get an 802.11g wireless router for as cheap as ~2000 bucks. Why buy second hand :S.

2250rs for new netgear wgr614 802.11g. bought it around 2weeks back in mumbai. should be little less outside mumbai.

My budget is Rs.2500 max. But the problem is that netgear routers are not available in my city at the moment. I went to many vendors, and mostly they all had Linksys routers costing Rs.3250 which was over my budget. And they were all saying that netgear adapters go broke very soon and there are other warranty issues as well.

Then there was a fellow member who posted a thread in market section for selling his netgear router, over a week ago. I sent him 4-5 PM's but he did not have the mearest courtsey of dropping a one line reply even tho he was online at the time. Anyway . . .

So I had to post this thread.

Hey Stormy, the one you have suggested seems just right to me :)

There is a Linksys WRT54G available that my frnd asked me inquire about- esp price!!:P

Will that work for you??:S

Prime quoted me 2.8k odd!!:)
might be lower elsewhere!!:cool2:

Bikey bro can I have a link to the router's specs . And also please let me know abt the price/warranty/(is it new/old).

Abe Argie,

Go get a Netgear or D-Link na if Linksys is expensive in Hyd....

There is really no tangible difference between regular g routers from known brands!

^^ Aye aye boss :)

The thing is, the netgear/dlink ones are not available here and the linksys one is costing 3250. Anyway, if nothing else turns up will get one from delhi.
