WTB: Canon DSLR

Guys, I am on the verge of buying a new DSLR camera.

Budget a max of 30,000

Decided on the Canon 1000D. Its available with IS lens for ~ 27,500 on ebay.

Any inputs are welcome. I am new to DSLR cameras and have not played much with manual controls on normal digital camera.

No he will not get it cheaper because that 1000d in our country comes with non IS kit lens.

If you know what you are buying, go for grey one. You can get a 450D with kit lens in that budget.

And yes Jayesh is the man to got to. I bought my Canon DSLR from him only.
 
yes u can bargain, he cries a bit, u have to cry too..he's a genuine guy, will try his best to sell u good stuff..

I bought 1000d with IS kit lens last november from him for 26k, grey ofcourse!

u can add 55-250MM and 50mm 1.8F few months down the road..

but as blufox did, i suggest u skip 1000d and go to 450D directly.
dont buy the V bag which he may give for few hundred bucks, its a complete waste, ill give u mine for free!

My uncle is a professional photographer and he's a very close friend of Jayesh :D so I get discounts :P if not price, then more free accessories.

Called him, he asked me to msg him what I need. Already messaged, waiting for reply.

Btw what is suggested, 1000D with bill or 450D without bill? And approximate prices?
 
dunno the approx prices as i don't follow prices closely, but i suggest u go with 450D without bill rather than 1000d with bill, as u know with electronic stuff nothing bad happens when its under warranty, as soon as the warranty lapses, boom next day something happens..
there's also one nikon D40x in market section from d_payne, check that out too..
keep an eye on bangalorephotographyclub forums if someone's selling, u can get better deals too if ur not in hurry!
 
I just missed the Nikon D40x. My bad.

Planning to buy by this weekend. Can delay if I can get a good deal.

Got a quote of 28+ with warranty for 1000D IS lens, 29/30 for 450D without warranty i guess.
His msg read as "28+, wth wnty, 29/30".

Seems too costly. The ebay dealer is ready to give for 26500 off ebay. or 27500 through ebay for 1000D with IS lens. - 10% discount for max 1K ebay discount coupon will workout pretty cheap.
