Hi,

I want to purchase a 6800 ultra AGP version. Anybody interested in selling their working 6800 Ultra AGP, please let me know.

Regards,
Sydney R.

Just wait a few days and you'll have the 7600GT AGP out which will be faster than 6800 ultra at a significantly lower price and power consumption.

Actually, I would love to get a 7800GS AGP(I think you may have meant GS...I'm not aware of a 7 series GT being released for the AGP platform). Only problem is, I require the card to be Windows 98 compatible. NVidia is so god damn stuck up, they are not releasing Win98 drivers for the 7 series GPUs( I guess because Windows 98 does not understand PCI-E). But they could've at least released drivers for the 7800GS AGP version.

I wanted to go with ATI but I can't seem to find any cards in the market.

Hence, my options in AGP are 6800 ultra, 6800 GT or a 6800 XT. I can get a brand new XT but I don't think it's worth the price due to only 8 pixel pipes even though it will run cooler because of 110 nm fabrication. I happen to know that the NV42 cores are almost never unlockable so they're no chance of a successful soft mod.

I would be open to purchasing a 6800 GT with 16 pipes also but availability is a problem here too.

Sorry, I didn't read your previous post properly Chaos. Anyway, I'm not aware of a 7600 GT for the AGP platform either.

A lot of people have mentioned that they have managed to soft mod the 6800NU AGP to an Ultra. But somehow, I don't believe that such mods will be successful in the long run. Even if the core is the same NV40, the card will run hot as the manufacturer would have not intended that the card be used at Ultra clock speeds and hence would have not provided adequate cooling.

Plus, I don't know understand how these cards sustain such clock speeds without proper power being supplied. If I'm not mistaken, the Ultra has two molex receptacles on the card itself. I guess the NU may have one or none. Where then does it get the power to sustain that clock rate.

Do shed some light on my queries if you have a good idea on the same.

Are you ok with a 6800GT AGP too? How much do you intend to pay for an XFX 6800GT 256MB AGP. The original card I got in Nov 2004. It went bad and I got it replaced in Jun-Jul this year. What I have is the replacement card. At present i am in two minds whether to sell it off or not. If I get a fair price, I would like to sell it. Let me know

Hi, I have just purchased a 6800GT AGP from from a TE guy for 7.5K(expecting delivery today or tomorrow). I am still on the lookout for a 6800 ultra however. Thanks for your offer anyway.

Bump...Require a 6800 ultra AGP. Anyone want to sell?? ( Ultra Extreme most welcome :)...don't know if anyone in India has the Ultra Extreme. )

i'll tell u wat..
i'll sell u a brand new, unused, Zalman VF 700 CU GPU cooler, with RAM heatsinks...

Actually, I don't have a 6800 GT currently. The one i purchased did not work and I had to send it back. Am currently without a gfx card (:.
