PC Peripherals WTB : HPTC/Mini tower cabinet

I have using an Antec cabinet for a few years now...dont even remember the model name :D but i am bored of it as its too big, it went well with my 19" crt but ever since i got an lcd it seems out of place.
Besides i saw an HP slimeline cabinet and I am absolutely in love with the size of that thing so i've decided to build a new system...

The things i intend to buy are
AMD X2 5600+/6000+
Gigabyte MA78GM S2H/ MSI K9N2GM FD
2 x 2 GB OCZ Titanium DDR800
Cabinet : thats a big problem...i cant seem to find anything good

So far I have considered cabinets from Iball and Zebronics but the build quality is not good, then i came across the Cooler Master Elite 340 which is smaller than my current cabby but nowhere as small as the HP slimline.

Can you guys suggest any more options and where I could get it :)

For the enclosure, get the Antec NSK 2480. Comes bundled with an EarthWatts 380W PSU. Pretty good for an HTPC. Unfortunately, there's not much of a choice in the HTPC enclosure segment here.

Could set u back by close to ~6k AFAIK but worth the price u pay for. Amazing build quality and the PSU is a +.

Finding Good and cheap HTPC cases is next to impossible, I would say Antec is the only option unless you want to learn a bit of carpentry ;)
 
The zebronics cube seems pretty nice but i was thinking of getting something that stands tall instead of being horizontal....

The cube does have have a small foot print but it doesnt mention if comes with a psu....
 
it comes without a psu. it can fit in 2 hdds, 2 odds, cooling is handled with 3 x80mm, 1x120mm and 1x60mm. its a two tiered design, mobo on the bottom and psu+hdds+odds on top.
 
Just called up zebronics in mumbai...i was quote 2400/- for the cube + 350/- for a 400w psu...

Can some1 help me get the cooler master 340/341 cabby??
 
the CM elites should be available with most dealers. check up with the regular forum dealers amarbi/techshop/itwares etc..
 
And what is your current cabby? :S

If u're so hellbent on the CM Elite 340, buy it by all means. Its a good one. But if I were u, I wont use it as an HTPC enclosure. :P

U've spent so much on the 50incher Panasonic Plasma and the HT setup. Get urself a good enclosure like the NSK 2480. U wudn want to spoil the aesthetics of the HT setup by keeping the Elite 340 tower next to it. Thats exactly why I didn't want to suggest the Zebronics Cube or the cheapo iBall ones. Just my 2 cents there. :)
 
My current cabby is the Antec BQE 3700...i am not sure but its a mid tower. Also my pc is nowhere near my HT setup! :D they are in 2 different rooms so there is no way its gonna spoil the HT aesthetics
 
OP- basic rule before you shop- decide budget?

Try and post correct info please.
Was for Rs.5650/- all incl, a month or 2 back, at Primeabgb, Lamington road, Mumbai.
So that is more like 5.5K odd and not 5K odd. :)

Got a new, unused EA380 (oem as out of a case+psu combo) with warranty for 2K, with bill for the case? :bleh:
And please check how much a new EA380 (retail one) and a VX450 sell for. :cool2:

Do you know what kind of things are available in the name of psus for 2K?

Also check specs and check reviews for both as i think EA380, though not a VX450 cannot be labelled 'just a 380W'.
Also reviewed indirectly by our very own Saiyan while reviewing a hi-end Gigabyte mobo. :)

Then why not use keep using the SLK3700BQE only. :rofl:
