Hi i desperately need a laptop hdd for my external drive. Like 40 gb would be good anything going upto 120.

Anybody has one for sale or if there is a particular shop that deals with them please help me out iv got so much of music downloaded and cant transfer it.

Head to LR m8...

Expect to spend arnd 5K for a 80 gigger 5400 rpm drive (Hitachi Travlestar) and ~300 for the external casing.....

Though a more VFM option would be to get a 3.5" casing and a 250 Gig IDE 3.5" drive for a lower price :P

The portability sure gets hampered, but do you need the dribve to be like really portable?

When I was at Prime the last time Gulbir was hard selling me Notebook hard disks but as I had no interest I was not listening :) He did say that they had special prices on these 2.5" drives ... special low or special high - I DUNNO ?? :O

Sure mate ill do that... But when i go there that is iv been tied down with work and now the rain gods will decide my fate...i have a crazy external case i just need the hdd the toshiba crashed in less than a year.
 
You should check out Plug n Play too, they have nice prices for all things related with laptop. The last 3 times that I have been to lammy that is just the place where I have got everything from.

The other day Biren from Plug n play even offered a 3 month used LG DL internal dvd writer in external casing with usb/firewire ports for 1.9k Wasnt exactly in my priority so decided against it.

a 40Gb laptop hdd with external casing or a WD 40gig with 2.5" drive directly seems the most VFM. Would be around some 3k.
 
Ok i picked up a Hitachi 40Gb lappy hdd for 3k 5400 Rpm

These are some of the prices 3200+ bundled with asus A8n Vm is for 10800
Asus A8NE is 6k
Corsair 512 DDR 400 Value Rs.2050
Sony Multi Card Reader Rs.790
Liteon 16x Dvd Rewriter Rs.2730
Altec Lansing ATP3 Rs.3,100

Cant remeber some properly like the seagate 160 Barracuda sata was 3,400 or 4,300 i cant remember :(

Alright bought a chinese case usb for hdd also just now for Rs.250 :)

MY other one was screwed n screwin up my hdds i guess ....

Thread can be losed if wished and prices can be put somewhere else if required :) Cheers!
