Im Looking to buy a PSP,thinkin of grey coz ill get an old firmware piece , anything that can be done with the new models ?

1.wuts the current prices grey+og
2.Where to buy in Mumbai
3.Is it possible to play avi movies + games from the mem card ?

hoping to do this soon so peeps plz help on dis:bleh: tx:cool2:
 
as suggested by other guys from te head on over to alfa in someplace called irla near vila parle.u should get a new psp for 8.3k there with firmware 2.71
 
hmm thats pretty close by, i was jus browsing the other threads n read the same, wuts current prices and wutst he best FW to go4 to achieve games + movies from mem card with most ease
 
Whats the latest price at alpha. The value pack is available at about 11200/Rs at any sony outlet or planet M with warranty now. It was available for 10500/Rs at alpha last week. The cost for the core pack was 8400/Rs
 
ok went to alfa today

core
black=8300
white=8250
usb cable =95 bux

value=10200

he didnt allow me to power it on but he said its 2.71 fw, there was a L below the voltages

mem card original sony
4gb=5250
2gb=2750

i wish somebody could get me a memory card from usa its jus 3k there for a 4gb stick

wht bs is this......

even when i was there to buy when it was damn new..he didnt allowed the stuff in my hand......but i checked the system settings with his hand.......than he said i was afool getting it without buying a umd.........but i knew i was right have played around 6 game via umd.....

btw whts this core pack and value pack stuff????
 
The value pack comes with a 32 MB Memory Stick Duo, headphones with a remote control on the cord, lithium-ion battery pack, AC adaptor, 1 year warranty, soft carrying case, cleaning cloth, movie/music/game sampler UMD disc.

the core PSP package comes with an AC adapter and battery pack (and of course instruction manuals,
 
hmmexcept the sample umd and headphone with remote stuff and lithium ion pack other stuff i ll find useless....

warranty is void one u play with the firmware so no point wasting that much..get a better 4gb memory stick but make sure its original
 
Guys someone on an another forum has posted the price of the psp at 7k grey. Just posted there to find out from where exactly I can get it for that price.

Last week I told the guys at alpha of the new price of the original psp. They were rude enough to tell me to buy an original. Since I am planning to upgrade to 3.40 using the dark alex patch... firmware wont be a major issue for me but the price of the console is... given the original value pack come for 11,200rs with vat. I prefer spending more to get an original mem stick than on a console on which I wont have any warranty.
 
@soulfire, buy the 2.71 core with a usb cable, hard case, GTA umd (ull need it for downgrading and also for playing the games off the memstick), 2/4 GB mem stick.
 
i dont think ill need the gta umd for a 2.71 fw

lets see if kid rock can source it for 7k :P
maybe ill jump into that otherwise yea plannin to buy the other stuff too

can anybody answer this that can i charge via usb and transfer @ same time ?
 
^^ u can have a cable made that plugs into both the power and the usb ports of the psp..its usually available with the grey market ppl for around 150 bucks.

btw, u need to buy atleast one umd if ur buying the core or coax the seller into giving the sample umd for free.
 
ow so otherwise the usb cable for charging costs how much

i believe the usb cable that plugs into the psp usb ports cost 95 bux , ill have 2 see availability of such a cable with dual purpose.

about the sample umd , im not sure if they give that for free @ alfa how ever ill check again when i go sometime later
 
They dont provide the demo umd. But if you are lucky you may get it. whatsinaname got one on a core pack at alpha.
 
umd shud b ok , have 1 friend who has a few umds and doesent even use the psp so i may borrow one permanently from him :P
