I too wanted to buy one but then I found Free Windows Server 2008 from Dreamspark. Its almost same as VISTA with additional features. Definitelt worth a try if you are a college student. Even if you aren't, arranging a college student's identity card won't be that difficult.
That's a really good option but that would involve finding a college going guy, plus would need to renew it every year. I would prefer a one time payment for over it.
