The x1600 xt has 4 ROP's,4 TMU's,5 VS,12 PS and can do the double z thing with AA(don know exactly what it is, could someone enlighten me). It runs at 590 core and 1380 memory (22 GB/s) and scores around 5k in 3d mark 2005.

On the other hand the x1900 xtx has 16 ROP's,16 TMU's,8 VS,48 PS and no double z. Speeds are 650 core are 1550 memory (50 GB/s) and scores 11 k.

Considering the x1600 xt scores 5k and the x1900 has around 4 times the power, why dosent it score more in 3d mark. Is it because 3d mark is vertex shader limited? or the double z thing or what? Curious to know.

Hmm, maybe because it is heavily CPU limited. You need a good CPU OC to be able to scale linearly from a X1600xt to a X1900xTx ! IMHO!
