Graphic Cards x1950 PSU requirements

Well ... i need the info pretty quick coz i have to tell ma sis to get the card
i have decided on the Sapphire X1950PRO 256mb PCI-e ........the minimum requirements says that it requires a total 30Amps on the 12v rail....will a powersafe 400w do ??? If not, which one would do , a 450 or at least a 500w ??? what are the current price tags of these in mumbai ???
also , in the ati card, is the asus better or sapphire ???
 
thats way outta my budget...i already hav to coax my folks to extend the budget for the GC frm 6k to 9k, plus i hav to get a PSU , so not more than 2-2.5k , wich i think the powersafe 1 shud lie in.......

You are getting the X1950 PRO for 9k? In India? Where? It comes to about 8.5k in the US itself.

well i'm gettin it from UK, so its around 9-9.5k....well even though my heart wans to buy the 600w psu , i dont think my pocket can afford it...so most probably will go for the powersafe 500w....ne idea where in bobmay is it the cheapest nd wats the price ?????
 
ive heard that the sapphire x1950pro has heating issues , is that true ???? would it be better to go for the asus edition ??? it will also save me a few pounds ...... but will giv a fps or 2 lesser than its sapphire counterpart....any owner of an x1950pro is requested to giv his advice
 
^^Not really, its just that the asus has a better cooler so it runs cooler than the sapphire. Performance will be the same, go for whichever is cheaper.

The powersafe 500W costs 2.5k afaik, place to get it is lamington road
 
k.....then ill go for the asus one.......nd once the card comes..will hav to cough up everythin i hav to buy that psu.but i guess itll b worth it
