X360 games looking better than the ps3 for now

There's a particular vehicle level in resistance which features the worst physics ever on a "next" gen console.

Well, I doubt that is due to the hardware. Must be a programming screw up. They definitely have enough silicon in there to easily take on pretty advanced physics calculations.

Of course, knowing Sony, they might decide it is more important to keep those cores busy running some stuff from a company named XCP.

How can you have bad physics on the Cell? How? Did they have a 1 year write that code?

the 360 had worse graphics than what the ps3 has when the 360 was released and now after 1 year the 360 improved greatly on the visuals and the ps3 is still matching up to it and the ps3 has just released, think of what graphics the ps3 might offer after 1 year....

Poor programming tools or even difficulty in harnessing that power can botch the best.

All I have to say to that is that the one extra year was because of Bluray delays, which shouldn't have affected Devs access to the SDK, so there is no reason why the games shouldn't be up to the mark. The fact is Sony took too long to get the Devkits out, but even since then we have had a solid 7 months. This means bad developer tools, which is really pathetic. You can't go and expect good games from a bad setup.

But ultimately I don't see too much difference in the gfx department of PS3 and XBOX360... they should pretty much even out after a couple of years, barring small differences due to Nvidia's insistence (which they have now dropped) on using non unified architecture.

PS3 is really good when it comes to physics

Too early to come to a conclusion.Wait for games like motorstorm to come out. There's already a demo out there that looks great!

They just keep coming up wid reasons, not long before they jump on the "old tested games only" and "anime only" bandwagons.

sony fanboys may crib about it'll get better
Or find a million other reasons :p
