X64 apps on X86??

No. u need 32-bit specific installers for 32-bit operating systems. But vice-versa is true - 32 bit apps run on 64 bit.

32 bit apps can run on 64 bit

You r wrong bro,,
Most of the 32 bit applications will run on 64 bit os..
I am using 64bit windows 7.
 
^ u guys got it wrong.........read carefully he is saysing 32bit Os needs 32 bit installer and 32bit apps will run fine on 64bit os.'

however the OP question is does 64 bit apps work on 32 bit which is not possible.
