Hi,

I bought a new xbox 360 console for 12990/- from Planet M. Upon receiving the box, I didn't pay much attention to the contents, and paid the bill and took the unit home. Once reaching home, I found that the box does not have the memory card (256 MB) that was specified as part of the standard package. Also there was no arcade game DVD (pacman etc) along with the console. I felt suspicious and checked the contents. The power plug connector had some scratch marks in it (the kind of ones that you get when you try and hit it into the socket). Also the guys at the store had not cut the box seal, instead they had scratched it out in front of me to open the box. Now I see that there are two seals (the first one underneath that was cut and a new one which was scratched open). I seriously suspect that this one is a used one considering the lack of memory card and game dvd along with the condition of the power cord.

Also is there any warranty card that comes along with the console? I had asked them to open the console to get the warranty card rubber stamped. There was no card inside and the guys there stamped on the manual.

Anyone faced anything like this before? Any pointers on what I should do next?

if u have a original bill i think thats what matters. u might have the jasper models with inbuilt 512mb memory? if u want u can take it back n see how it goes but if all is workin fine.. shouldnt be an issue.. u should always be more careful though next time.. get it from chroma or a better store..

Thanks toxicdrift. The import date is shown as august 2010. The box says 256 Mb memory for arcade and 120 gb for elite. Is there any way to find out the internal memory size if indeed its a jasper with 512 Mb memory?

Thanks toxicdrift. It is a jasper model indeed. I think that it's my mistake not recognizing the internal memory. I was hoping for a memory card as was specified in the xbox india site. Also the model that I got does not seem to have the arcade games, as the ones with the DVD seem to have a note on the box itself.

But for sure the box was not sealed properly (someone had opened it before i got it) and there are scratch marks on the back of the power connector.
