xBox 360 can now play backups!- Any feedback?

So I hear that the xBox 360 can indeed play backups now after flashing the firmware on the Drive....
No better news than that for us nice folks who just want to make legal backups of our original expensive discs so that we can stash the original discs away safely! ;)

Just want to confirm this hearsay! Anyone here has had any experience with backups on a 360 before I or others even start considering plonking 18-20 K on this puppy?

Considering the fact that 360 game torrents are already floating around the net (No, I am not advocating downloading them, what made you think that way ???:ohyeah: ) I suppose a lot of people are indeed playing backups!

Just want to hear this from people who have actually done it :)
 
true people have 'made backups of their self owned original games and upped them on torrents', but to play them backup dics, whatever i've read involves more than flashing the firmware. some ppl suggested changing the drive itself with some other compatible drives.

a quick google will give u more info ....or maybe certain forums ;)
 
for all we know, dual layered copies may already be out (or may soon be ) in the Burma and Palika Bazaars of this world! ;)
