T LOOKS LIKE the XBox360 has finally been broken to one degree or another.

According to someone named Commodore4eva posting on the XBoxHacker BBS, there is now patched firmware available for some revisions of the console.

The new patches are not for the technical novice, they involve flashing your drive, sector extraction and manually backing up your legit games. There is also the more than zero chance you will brick your 360, not a pleasant thought for anyone. I would put this patch down to a technically interesting tool for the deeply geeky. Skiddies, this is not your PHD tool, buy your games like you should.

That said, the new patch is said to boot 'Xtreme' XBox 1 and 360 backups, works with originals, and will boot 'all' XBox 1 discs on the 360. If it works as advertised, it is quite the coup, but it may turn out to be a near miss like the last few. Either way, there are no links to the files, so don't click thinking you will get games for free, that isn't going to happen.

Thanx Dip ! Thats Great News ! I may buy a xbox 360 and later when the PS3 is Modded I will sell the 360 and buy the ps3 ! :)
 
Not to be a partypooper but isnt discussion of warez, cracks, etc on TE against the rules :P (posted by a mod nonetheless :P)
 
Nope. This does not violate rules. What is illegal is posting cracks, warez or links to them etc. It is not illegal to mention the fact that they exist. That would prevent normal software operation and security discussions.
