Xbox 360 modding in mumbai

Hi, i am looking to get my Xbox 360 (Jasper board) modded. A few points where i need some clarification -

1. Where can i get it done in Mumbai?
2. Which is a better option among soft mod and hard mod.
3. Can i still be on Xbox live after that.
4. A friend recently got a soft mod done for INR 750/-. Can i get similar price in Mumbai.

Will really appreciate your help on this.
 
ya a guy with userid 'nikmodz' at IVG does that ..hes from mumbai but he charges arnd 1.5-2k

softmod is better..

u can play on live only if you have ixtreme LT flashed to your dvd drive..this is only possible if you have a liteon drive(which you probably will) as ixtreme LT is only out for liteon drives and not for any other drives
 
Thanks. He seems good but is asking around 2-2.5k for a Soft Mod. Ambrith in punjagutta (Hyderabad) is charging 750/-. Was just wondering why such a huge difference b/w the two cities. I would probably like to first look for someone charging on similar lines in Mumbai.
 
ya np..even i was planing earlier to get it modded by him but 2k wasnt worth so i just did it myself lol....which drive do you have..if its a liteon 83850v1 then its very easy...i had the same one

Doing it on your own sounds fun. But i am not sure if I can give it a shot. I am also not sure of the Drive. Just saw a few tutorials on how to figure that out. Will check it tonight.
 
aha!!then its the same as mine!!trust me its damn easy to mod this one...all u need is onboard sata and a sata cable..go to jungleflasher.net and check the tutorial out

Cool! I'll go over the tutorial and will make up my mind, if i can do that on my own.
