Xbox 360 price drops go global on Friday, it's official

Not that we had any doubt but Microsoft has made it official: Xbox 360 price cuts are coming Friday. The entry-level Arcade will remain at $200 while the top end Elite will drop to $300 from $400. The mid-range Pro (reduced to $250 from $300) will be phased out just as soon a they can eliminate stock. As a footnote to the announcement, Microsoft wants to remove all doubt about future project natal compatibility by saying it, "will work with every Xbox 360 sold today and tomorrow." So what's it going to be kids, PS3 Slim or Xbox 360? Blu-ray or Netflix?

Who cares about Elite and pro...

Arcade is the bundle to get.... Dear i hope that they price it a bit lower in india though..

Get the arcade. Dont fall for the green color. Aracde's are jasper, VERY imp especially you gonna mod it.

What about the HDD then ? Adding that to the cost of Arcade, I can get an elite re :p

And I wonder why aren't the newer Elites coming with the Jaspers ?

Ok... let me simple as this... Better chipset > HDD.

Believe me. when modded you need worry free usage. jasper is the best bet.
But its your call. different people have different thoughts.

I think Elites will be replaced by the 60GB Pros..with jaspers.... or if not...no idea...
 
Guy at Landmark was getting me Pro for 27K :p as of now it is better to go for PS3 80GB for 19k compared to X360 Arcade for 16k.

Who said only arcades have jaspers? Elite too have jaspers, the red 360 RE5 edition r all jaspers ( n they r elites )
If elites launch in india they will be jaspers only :)

can PS3 be modded to play leagally "illegal" games:eek:hyeah:
I am n##b in cosonles........planning for 360 for only 1 reason.......it can be modded.:bleh:
