Finally the day is arriving for my Xbox 360 this Saturday as my results are out tomorrow or Wednesday.

Queries
1. How do i connect Xbox 360 to my Dell E1909W it has DVI and VGA Port i usually use HDMI to DVI for my PS3 Slim but this Microsoft properitory cable is damn sh*t.Suggest a cable for it.
2.How do i get the sound from 360 as the Monitor does not have Audio Jack in it would i require another cable for it ?
3.From when does the warranty period starts ? When purchased or when registered to Xbox live ?
4.How do i identify from box itself whether its a Jasper or not ?
5.Who are giving away at cheapest price ?
6.Modding charges are way too high at 3k , but they keep warranty intact any others who can keep warranty sticker intact ?
 
I was in the same situation but google worked wonders for me.
1)You already gave a HDMI->DVI cable so that takes care of the Video
2)For Audio use this cable ->DealExtreme: $5.20 Gold Plated L/R-RCA Digital Audio Cable Adapter for Xbox 360. Order it from DX itself unless u find it in mumbai for cheap.
3) Warrnaty starts from DOM or if u have a vat paid bill then DOP
4)Jasper have a Different Power cable.

The most annoying part is the humongous wires which 360 are having.

1.Since its a properitory port do the hdmi ->dvi wil work ?

2.Someone give me a cheaper option ;-)

3.So when i purchase the console with bill from Croma right , warranty start that day ?

4.I know how to spot it from inside i need to know whether it can be done from box itself as i dont want to buy other or are there only jasper available ?

6.How much is modding charges in Mumbai ? Let me know the cheapest and trusted guy.
 
1.) Yes it will. The HDMI port isn't proprietary.

2.) Since you don't have an audio out in your monitor, the cheapest way to use both audio and HDMI video at the same time would be to crack open the composite cables outer bulky shell so that the bare essentials remain. This you can directly slide into your composite cable slot and have your HDMI cable in it's respective slot at the same time. Then just use a standard RCA to 3.5mm converter cable to plug your audio in.

3.) The bill has the purchase date. So that's the date of your invoice and warranty. You need to retain it so there won't be any discrepancy during your warranty claim from Microsoft.

4.) Check the manufacturing date if you can. Croma currently stock the 2010 manufatured Arcades. If it's the 512MB memory based Arcades it's 99.99% Jasper, at least mine was. If you're luck enough to get hold of a, say April 2009 based Arcade, then you can possibly JTAG it.

5.) If price is not a concern, then I'll PM you the details. I can vouch for this guy's work and he also sells pre-modded/pre-JTAG'd consoles. Retaining warranty sticker isn't a problem for him.

2.) You'll never know until you try. I was about to do the same thing, but found out that my monitor actually had an audio port, so that simplified things for me. My other friend who got his 360 hooked up to his Viewsonic 22 inch monitor was in a similar situation as are right now. I showed him this alternative and he did it by himself. There is no other "cheaper" alternative other than this. You either get the Microshaft's official HDMI Audio adapter for an absurd price or get a new monitor which probably has a audio out to it. I don't suppose you'll be interested in the last 2 options.

5.) Yes it is. If you already have his number, then get in touch with him. His rates are high, but his work is extremely professional.
 
Never knew microsoft could do that shiity work its just insane i only realize when i saw the video.

Nikesh is charging 3k for modding , do we have to left over the console with him as far as i know its not a job of more than 30 minutes, as i would be buying the console and directly taking to him.

Whats the li extreme 5 and others ? and Waves 4 ,5 not making much sense to me ; does it have to be patched or something like that ....

It shouldn't take very long to mod it. Just ask him an approximate time frame and if feasible, just hand it over to him and kill time around in Santa Cruz while you wait. As far as the wave thing goes, just ask him to load the IXtreme LT firmware, that's it.

He won't do it in front of you. He doesn't have a shop or anything. He does it from his house, so he says that if everyone stays back to watch their console being modded, it would be a bit of an inconvenience for the family members. I guess it's a valid point, plus I have hardly seen any shop keepers who do that either. Yes, I did tag my DVD drive tray with a light marker just to be safe. He did a fine job and we even tested it at his place to confirm it was working.

IXtreme LT doesn't care about what the disc is, it just boots them straight away. Online needs stealth patching and a few other verifications in Abgx360.
 
Anything else i should be telling him for ? Would i be able to update to latest firmware and it wont cause any issues ? One which enables USB support.

I got hold of a 500GB external drive :ohyeah: I hope you are holding out Alan Wake , Gears of War 2 in your drive :D If you have disc of some it would be great as after i get the console there would be hardly any time left for me to burn games
 
So the total pricing comes to about 12.5k + 3k? Damn the guy sure makes a lot of bucks that way. :P
 
But the guy is very professional.

Question is when the Ban Wave comes out in November would the newer games be unplayable ?

Friend wants to pick one up, was wondering where I'd get the best deal.
 
Got it from Croma , since none of the dealers are not giving any discounts this time and yes got it done from Nikesh
 
The games which you will get are shitty and are of no use, i got a arcade pack.
