My friend who bought a 360 in May 2007 has had the RROD problem since Sunday evening. He called up MS customer service, the moment they came to know that it is modded they denied service.
He took it to the place where he bought it from and the told him that they'll repair it for Rs.8000/- but they cannot guarantee how long it will run after the repair or if the problem will be entirely fixed.
He then googled a bit and came across towel techinique and used it last night and it started working. The problem is it is only a temporary fix an dcan cause a lot of damage in the future.
Can you guys suggest an alternative and a permanent solution. Also can you suggest somewhere in Mumbai where he can get it fixed who can guarantee that the problem will be fixed. He said that he didn't paying an amount small or large as long as the person can guarantee it will be fixed.
