Xbox 360 S Query!!!

Hi Guyz,

Somedays ago I bought a Xbox 360 S from a guy in TE @ 18.6k all ...I was in a hurry to buy a Xbox ...and I thought that the price of a new xbox 360 s in kolkata should be quoted around 23k+... But yesterday in planet M I found that its 20K all....

1> So, now I am feeling bad for the warranty since the one I bought is from UK...
So is there anyway to claim the warranty ( if I need it in future if I dont MOD )...

2> Lots of heat is coming out of the console..I had a " go pro " earlier but its temp remained lower than this...The temp is freakingly hot. So, is there anyway to cool down a xbox ..I mean extra coolers or any other cooling system for the xbox

3> I went to a place in kolkata where modded xbox are sold , they said the xbox 360 s cant be modded now...But I have seen on the net that its modded...So, can the XBOX 360 S be moded or not...If anyone from kolkata knows any place where its done please help me ..

1> Warranty - none AFAIK.

2> You do not need one TBH. The cooling is pretty much decent on the newer slims. Do keep it in a sufficiently ventilated area though.

3> There are hacks released on the web for the X360 S but if it isn't popular in the country yet, I suggest you hold on a bit rather than attempting it and ending up with a brick, god forbid should something happen.

A price you've paid for being in a hurry. You should have waited IMO.

The exterior of the device is hotter than the internals. Its a design thing , they made it smaller but the heat has to go somewhere right The electronics are being cooled better to avoid failure but that heat is being pushed out and so the case becomes pretty hot.

You cannot claim warranty on it in India.

The 360 S is not popular in India yet so i think you should give it a bit of time before implementing the hack. I would not recommend that you try it on your own...

@Desecrator : Ya, should have waited a week more...Anyways, cant do anything when I hav already bought.. The Xbox is kept in a well ventilated space...But I kind of feel the temp should be like my PC.... Hi Hi....lol

@dhruvrock2000 : I understand the point about heat but still....there is something roaming in my mind about the temp...

Anyways, congrats on your PS3 MOD....

Anyways, do you have any modded firmware for your N97mini....because mine is damn slow....
