Hi, I decided to get the XBOX 360 core for 15k. But I want to know if it is worth spending 9k to get the Pro version for 24k ?

Also are the good titles like Call of Duty 3 / 4 and others available in India ?

Can both consoles play older Xbox games ?

Yes Both the consoles can play older xbox games get the 24k pro xbox cuz firstly it comes with the hdd whereas for the core one u shud get a mem card which is around 2k and also by purchasing the pro in some stores u get 4 select game titles for free believe me it is worth spending 9k more to get the pro and as for about the xbox360 version of cod 3 is availlable cod 4 i think is not availlable so GET THE PRO BE A PRO
 
Cool, then I think Pro it is ! Will I get a slight discount if I buy it at Lamington Road ? Or will it be the MRP price. Where else can I buy the console ?
 
almost all electronics store house xbox i believe.. else its available at planet m an many smaller cell phone dealers..

Yes you can.
I think the best thing is to get a memory card for now and a core system (HDD is only for movies, XBLA games and XboX 1 games). Later, if you can, get a HDD from the US for ~100$.

IMHO, the other things like wireless controllers etc are not worth the extra 9k.
 
there are certain(very certain) hdd models that can be used on a xbox

hdd wont be really helpful unless you decide to dld stuff from xbla afaik

buy your xbox from alfa or heera panna (or planetM for warranty etc) tho my 7900gt would be a better choice :p
 
Yeah I am really sorry for backing out dude ! But I really don't have much time to to try and fix my computer or send the rogue part for replacement. (Damm work is to be blamed !) My old comp stopped working in June and I RMAed the ram only in November since I couldn't go to Lamington Road before that !

Plus I already have a laptop to surf the net and stuff. And I don't have to keep upgrading the Xbox to keep up with newer games ! Besides isn't victorpst is interested in your card now ?
 
read somewhere that the hard disk is sometimes used by the 360 like the hdd is used by windows as a paging file or something..hence makes more sense to buy with hdd to avoid jitters during some games.
 
Actually I am planing to get the Pro version only because I can get 2 free games with it and a wireless pad. Wired is now a bit old tech.

But games are bloody expensive ! 2599 for COD 3 ! The PC version (COD 4) costs just 1299 !

So I might have to get 1 or 2 XBOX 1 games to play.

buy a softmodded premium console for cheaper. enjoy ahem games & play them on live. not to mention save a lot of money.
 
But where will I be able to service this soft modded console ? I suppose this type of console will be able at Herra Panna or Alfa right ?

I feel I should stick to a legal console since I am spending a good amount of my own money, but the price of legal games is just killing !
