Xbox 360's Red Ring Of Death!!!!

Well this is no article but the fear in every gamer's mind who plan's to buy Xbox360. Xbox360 failure rate seems to be increasing with the increase in it's sales. Some say the 3 light Red Ring Of Death can be cured if the power brick is kept at a height and in good cooling condition,most importantly it need's to be connected directly to the wall plug, not to any power strip.:ashamed:

Many say that the 360 powerbrick need's continous uninterrupted power supply and that's way when connected through cheap power strips the 360 show's Red Ring of Death.

Bleh... I feel's it's that Microsoft's power brick that is cheap I guess.

Whereas the 4 light Red Ring of Death seem's to be a hardware failure and need's to be necessarily repaired.

And recently another Xbox360 flaw has been discovered which causes the disc's played on the Xbox360 to get scratched automatically after some period of time.

However Microsoft's doesn't seem to be bothered much!!!

I wonder if Bill Gates has seen Red Ring of Death on his Xbox360??

Well the question is to go or not to go for an Xbox360!!!!

The original unmodded one seem's to having so many problem's, so I wonder how much the modded one would survive.:S

More and more awesome titles are being announced for the 360 and people are ofcourse getting tempted.

Before the release of GTA 4, I feel that there will be many more 360's sold in India and most of them would be modded..

Even if a single Xbox360 fails, it would be like throwing 20,000Rs in the dustbin.That gamer would indeed be very dissappointed.

Well i have given a few solution's also to cure the Red Ring Death.:cool2: ,Just kidding..

Anyways I found anoter solution on youtube that is to keep the 360 wrapped up in a towel/cloth for half an hour, so that it becomes very hot.After that to switch of the 360 for another half an hour and keep it under normal temp.

Voila after switching on the 360 again they say the Red Ring of Death is gone..

I personally don't feel this trick is genuine but say explain it in a technical manner by saying that this process open's up some soldering,blah blah blah...

A good way to fight piracy... Very few people will have the guts to buy a modded xbox. A very good reason for ms to not fix these problems

^Wrong. The Red Ring Of Death can happen to *ANY* Xbox 360, anytime, anywhere.

It doesn't depend on if its modded or not. That's why you can't buy an X360 without an official warranty. If you have the official warranty then they will replace the console for you if the Red Ring Of Death hits.

that's the problem!! You can't buy modded ones since games are too expensive and unmodded ones don't have any warranty.It has been over 2 yrs since MS released the console.Why don't they fix it's shortcomings??
