XBox fried??

Hey guys,

Just now, My cousin and me, were putting on a Xbox.

Ofcourse, we realised, it was 110V Input.
So, I used a Converter, which my sister normally uses for her Hair Straightening Iron.. She said it works fine.

But anyways, when we fired it up, it literally went in smokes. There was a crack sound, and i just pullled out the Wire instantly, and then there was a bit of smoke coming from the Side of the XBox.

So, then, I tried, to see if it just works, at my Kitchen (which has proper 110V Outputs) and it tripped the circuits power :S. But there was no sound from the Xbox. Since then, i havent tried anything.

So, is the XBox fried? Can it be repaired?? If yes, how much do you guys think itll cost, and how long could it take :S.

^^ If it tripped the power then its fried for sure.

That's one sure way of recognising smoked parts.

You'll be damn lucky if your power modulator only has blown (maybe you can try the XboX PSU Mod ) but tough to say much sitting back here..

Try Manish Market or Crofert Market, they might have some shops there, but Im not sure, I think its gone for good.

I think ur XBOX SMPS got blown up. You can get it replaced.

first get the quotes from a few shops then contact me ...
will repair / mod it in such a way you will not need a step down transformer / convertor again ....

I was thinking of doing the PSU Mod, if its too expensive.
