Starting in June, the Xbox One will be available sans the Kinect motion sensing camera for $399, Microsoft announced Tuesday.

With Kinect, the price is still $499. But this is the first time the Xbox One is being sold without its custom mounted camera.

That was bound to happen. They were just hurting sales by forcing the Kinect bundle at much higher price than the PS4.

Bundling the Kinect with the XB1 was their first mistake. I bet they knew that no one would buy the Kinect separately so forced it on the customers. As if that was not enough the price of the XB1 was higher than PS4. Then gaming at 720p (stupidly and openly supported by those IGN staff /sigh) became the news. XB1 doesn't seem to have a single good news since its announcement. Now XB1 fanboys will go all-out on PS4 fans with this new price development.
