Xbox or PS3?

i think you should go with the xbox 360 , reason its prices well compared to the sony ps3 as of now. the money you save you can get original games, or loads of those 200 bucks pirated games. i have played the xbox360 and it worked very well.
 
Well, As a Fanboy, Id say PS3 PS3 PS3 !!!!!!

But right now, the best bang for buck is the Xbox 360.

The PS3 will start shining after a price drop and more game titles releasing.

only one reason, there are more shops / malls selling XBOX 360 titles as they are backed by Microsoft INDIA itself.

No one yet is backing the distribution of game titles of PS3 in INDIA.

Milestone interactive is distributing the PS3 games in india
 
PS3 officially launched today.....so back up or warranty for it wont be any problem....Anyways I think for the time being you can go 360 as & when the price drops for PS3 go for it...but its still your final say!!!!
 
I suggest, as of now, nothing. Buy the 360 when Halo 3 comes out. Neither system has enough games to justify a purchase. (The 360 will be a good buy in 6 months time - GoW, Lost Planet, Mass Effect, Bio Shock and Halo 3 sound like a good lineup along with a price drop - I hope :D.)

The PS3 will be a very good buy in about two years time. Right now, it is a bad time to buy, (as bad as the PSP was two years ago.) So if you want a good gaming system right now, go for a hand held. If you have all the older system and newer handhelds, and are itching to buy something, get the 360.

[My plans - 360 and wii in a years time, ps3 in about 2 years time.] I think my present systems will last me another year. and I could always play on my friends 360. :P

Just my 2 cents.
 
Xbox is a previous gen system dude. Why would you want to go for one now? Get the 360, dude. Repeat after me.... X-3-6-0.

As for X360 vs PS3, PS3 needs its time to get its 1st killer title (MGS4). It isn't a fair competition as of now.

If you're in a hurry, go get the X360 if you think you won't be missing any exclusives or the Ps2-Ps1 emulation of PS3.
 
I guess you shud buy a PS3 from Gray market if you're inclined to buy PS3....then purchase original titles from any trusted vendor....that wud be cheaper deal....for 360 it wud be more cheaper bcos pirated games are freely available at some stores for cheap 150 bucks....its ur calll though....PS3 in gray will cost u around 26k-29k.....chk out Alfa & Manish market for it....
 
I guess that can work out. Sony World should take of any PS3 that breaks down (if it does, PS3 has an excellent built, chances of it breaking down are quite low at best). They take any PSP for repair (for a price ofcourse), I can confirm that. My friend just got his cracked screen replaced for some Rs.4500 and he bought it from Nepal, I don't see why they shouldn't do it with the PS3, specially if it has officially launched here as well.
