Hi,

I got my XBOX from US and when plugged it in India,there was sound inside and its not working from there on.

How can I know if I can ever know it will work again.Do we have any authorized XBOX service center in Andhra Pradesh.

Please help me in this regard.

You blew up the power brick/adapter of the console. The power brick input is rated as per the US standards which must be 110-120V AC and cannot take the Indian standard which is 220-230V. These adapters do not have universal voltage input similar to the PS3 so an X360 purchased from the US cannot be plugged directly to the socketa here unless you use a different brick or a step-down transformer.

Call up MS and speak to them or mail them. They should provide you a brick for free. Few of my friends were able to get them for free after they mentioned that they have shifted from the US to India.

+1 you've blown the adapter. Just get an indian-rated adapter and you should be fine.
