It's not been long since Xiaomi, popular Chinese Android smartphone maufacturer released their new flagship, the Xiaomi MI-2. That, along with an updated Xiaomi M1-S sold faster than your counting (many magnitudes faster). Before you know it, the first batch of 400,000 units was sold out already. This just shows how popular the Xiaomi Phone is. And why wouldn't it be? Running the drool worthy MIUI Skin atop Android 4, and add to that nicely designed hardware and something which can be called a nice blend of Apple and Google, of iOS and Android. A perfect blend, to those of them who find this device perfect. Rumors for Xiaomi's next flagship, namely the MI-3 are already floating around. Let's take a look.
Xiaomi MI-3

The Xiaomi MI-3 will pack next generation specifications and an updated MIUI (these are expected). But now we have some rumors which point to what might be those next generation specifications.
  • Quad Core nVidia Tegra 4 chipset
  • ARM Cortex A15 CPU, 1.8 to 2 GHz
  • 4+1 core design (akin to Tegra 3)
  • 4.5" display, by Japan Display Co.
  • 12 MP rear camera, 1080p video recording
  • 2.5 GB of RAM

No further details are known as of now. The Tegra 4 chipset will pack the same 5 core design (4 powerful cores, 1 power efficient core design) like the Tegra 3. Based on the 28 nm manufacturing process, the CPUs in this chipset are expected to be clocked as high as 2 GHz per core. This will end up as the 2nd device in rumor land to pack a Tegra 4 chipset, the previous being the HTC M7 (slated early 2013 flagship). LTE is also said to be on board (integrated to the Tegra 4 chipset).

The display size will get a boost up from 4.3" to 4.5". We believe it will carry the same HD resolution (1280*720) which is excellent for a device this size. A 12 MP camera spices up the device on the multimedia side. 2.5 GB of RAM is confusing an amount. It might be just 2 GB which is entirely plausible as well (seeing all current high end devices today).

Of course, like always the Xiaomi MI-3 will be priced around the $400 price tag, instead of $699 which such a phone would cost (from another brand) for a worldwide launching flagship.
