Xiaomi Mi3 gets a major update (KXDMIBE18.0) in India

Xiaomi Mi3 went on sale in India yesterday. The Indian variant runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box with MIUI ROM on top. Today the unit has received a major update to version KXDMIBE18.0 that brings new features, optimizations and fixes. This is a global update for the Mi3 that is already available in Malaysia, Philippines and more countries, where it launched the smartphone.

Highlights in KXDMIBE18.0 update

• New – Added ‘Resend all’ function in Outbox of Mail (05-28)
• New – Optimized online music page (04-23)
• New – New version of Blocklist (04-23)
• New – Incoming calls will only show in the Status bar during a full – screen task (05-14)
• Optimization – Support recognizing time information in a message and adding it to Calendar (05-20)
• Optimization – Optimized UI for extremely poor AQI (04-16)
• Optimization – Click the ‘Not enough system storage’ notification will go to Cleaner – Advanced directly (04-23)
• New – Added two weather types: Freezing rain and hail (05-21)

The update is about 592MB, but it shows as 619.8 MB once it starts downloading. The update is available over-the-air. You can check out the complete changelog of the update in the MIUI forum here.

I got a notification for this update, tried downloading but was too slow so left it for a while. Now when i checked for updates
KXDMIBE22.0 is available in India

@aka007, Please exercise caution as you download v22, many have reported bugs on the miui forum or wait till Aug 16
